The Viking ship project

Even if you can't afford fancy toys doesn't mean you can't have some fun. However I am lucky to have some pretty good friends that have offered me the sharing of tools and space to work in. There generosity and friendship was more valuable to me then any possession. Our time together put life into our stories and we played music to. There is nothing better then the sharing of Ideas that can make dreams come true. Even if the dreams don't last, the ideas seem to come straight from heaven and they can be pretty motivating. There is nothing better then being involved with something you find worthwhile and to share it with your friends, family and the world. This model I built for my friend Rob Savland who is now passed away. The Idea of a viking burial was inspired by the movie "Rocket Gibraltar" Starring Burt Lancaster which we so happened to watch together the last time I saw him. The idea of a Viking burial came to us and we rejoiced in all the connotations and possibilities. Even the building and the sailing of the ship alone awoke are imaginations and gave birth to new ideas that continue to carry mystery and a wonderful sense of meaning.
